Seasonal interest: Spring to fall (spikes of deep blue to violet flowers)

Soil requirements: Well-draining, sandy or loamy soil

pH range: 6.0 to 7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral)

Hardiness Zones: 7 to 10 (USDA Zones)

Attracts: Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds

Notes: A tough, heat-tolerant perennial that blooms profusely throughout the growing season. It requires minimal care and is perfect for xeriscaping and pollinator gardens. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.

These salvias can be prone to spider mites and rust.

I trim them multiple times throughout the growing season to keep them full, healthy, and blooming.
